To keep your Avet Reel performing at its best for many years to come, we recommend a full service of your reel at least once a season. A typical "season" is based on 15-20 fishing days fishing days annually for the average angler.  You can perform the service yourself, using the schematics and owner’s manual for your reel, or take advantage of our Premium Service Program.


  • Basic cleaning and lubrication of internal mechanisms.
  • Ground shipping back to you. (signature required)
  • Typical lead time for service is 7 business days from the time we receive your reel, but may vary slightly, depending on the season and sudden surge of service reels as various fishing seasons begin.
  • You do not need to remove your line for this service. 
  • This service does not include replacement of damaged components, or components with normal wear.

Service Prices Effective 01/01/13



  • Carefully package your reel, preferably in its original box, within another box, with plenty of packing material around it. Most parcel carriers require that the package can withstand up to a 3' drop.
  • Include a brief note requesting our Service, a contact phone number, and return shipping address. Please write the models and colors of your reels at the top of the note.
  • Include a check or wire transfer conformation to cover the service for each reel, payable to Madfin Supply LLC. or, our Customer Service Department can call you to get a credit card number when we receive your reel, BEFORE the reel is serviced. This option is useful if you prefer rush shipping back to you. At this time you can request priority shipping to be added to your invoice.
  • Ship the reel, insured, to our address. Be sure to obtain a tracking number. Madfin Supply Co.  cannot be responsible for reels lost or damaged in shipping.

Madfin Supply Co. warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage or malfunction caused by abuse, lack of maintenance, improper lubrication, sand, salt, or debris on or in the reel, normal expected wear, incorrect line spooling, use beyond the reel’s recommended drag or line capabilities, bearings, or damage from accidents.  If your reel has a defect within the terms of the warranty, you should contact us by e-mail at info@madfin.co.nz. before returning it to us. To return the reel to us, ship it parcel post, return prepaid and insured, track-able, with a daytime phone number to contact you to:

We will repair or replace your reel at our option, without further cost to you. If, however we determine after inspection that the repair is not covered under the provisions of this warranty, you will be contacted, the reel repaired, and returned to you at a reasonable charge for labor and parts. All warranties, which may be implied by operation of law, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability and warranties of fitness for any particular purpose, shall be limited to one year from the date of purchase. In no event shall Madfin Supply Co. be liable for consequential or special damages for breach of this warranty or any other warranty, which may be implied by law. Warrenty does not cover reels used for commercial use.
